Littie grew up and attended school in Upton along with her three brothers and two sisters. She was a member of COGIC in Waukegan, IL under the leadership of Pastor C. A. Ward, (deceased). Littie was employed as a housekeeping aide at the VA Hospital in North Chicago, IL for many years. She relocated to Smithville, Texas in 1974 where she united in Holy Matrimony to Jimmie Lee Bledsoe.

Littie May is preceded in death by her beloved husband. Also gone before are her daughter and son-in-law, Annie M. and Herbert Simien; Jerome Whitaker her son; and John S. Whitaker, her children's father.

She attended fellowship at area churches and demonstrated her love of serving the Lord by cooking, gardening, visiting nursing homes and supporting community events.

Our family expresses our gratitude for your love and concern as your prayers, calls, gifts and many deeds during the illness and the home-going of our Littie May sustained us. Please keep us in prayer.
