Anna Alma Peschke of Smithville, Texas passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the age of 88 years. She was surrounded by her four loving children as she transitioned peacefully into everlasting life. Anna was born on December 1, 1928 to Arthur and Alma Knobloch Kieschnick in Manheim, Texas.

On June 15, 1947 Anna married Clarence Peschke in Manheim, Texas . Together they had four children and enjoyed 66 years together, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Anna is survived by her children Nancy (Eddie) McDowell of Seabrook, Texas, Carey Peschke of Kalaheo, Hawaii, Dwight (Suzanne) Peschke of Giddings, Texas and James Peschke of Smithville, Texas. Grandchildren Steven Penry, Stephanie (Thomas) Eisman, Janis (J.D.) Armstrong, Eric (Laura) Peschke, and Bradley Peschke. Great grandchildren Sarah & Hannah Penry, Avril McLean, Ethan & Seth Eisman, Leighton & Cason Peschke. Brother Elmo (Adeline) Kieschnick of Manheim, TX and brother in law Wilbert Winkler of Houston.

Preceding her in death are her husband Clarence, her parents, brothers Martin Kieschnick, Monroe Kieschnick, and sister Ruth Winkler.

Most important in Anna's life was her faith and her family. She lived a life of compassion and helping others. It has been said you have not lived today unless you have done something for someone who can never repay you. By that measure she lived every day of her life.

Visitation will be held at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas the family will be present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Marrs-Jones Chapel, Smithville, TX. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Smithville, TX. Pallbearers are: Steven Penry, Thomas Eisman, Eric Peschke, Bradley Peschke, J. D. Armstrong and Kenneth Winkler. Honorary Pallbearers are: Perry Hannusch, Byron Thornton, Mary Vickery, John Bourland, Jeremy Rector, Michael Kieschnick, and Clarence Hannusch.

Contributions may be made in memory of Anna to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Prairie Valley, Texas or a charity of your choice.
