Arthur Wilhelm

Arthur Edward "Billy" Wilhelm passed from this life on Sunday, March 19, 2017, after having visited with all of his children and many of his grandchildren.

Born on July 6, 1934, to Emma Seidel and Louis P. Wilhelm, Billy grew up farming alongside his father. He left school early to take a job in the oilfields to help support his family and returned home shortly before his father's death. He remained on the family farm until he met and married Alice Anne Fendley in 1961. The couple celebrated almost 50 years together before Anne's passing in January of 2011.

Billy is survived by his children, Angela Vinklarek (Carl), Steven Wilhelm (Laura),Mark Wilhelm (Sue), Pat Wilhelm (Cissy), and Amy Wilhelm-Rabel (Carroll Rabel Jr.); grandchildren, Caitlyn (Trenton), Tyler, Justin, Amanda (Nick), Rebecca, Shelby (Shanna), Jackson, Tia, Colin, Colton, Cameron and Gavin.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 PM., March 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church followed by recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:30 AM, March 23, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, Texas, with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas.
