It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ascension V. “A.C.” Fuentes, who left us on December 23, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on May 31, 1962, A.C. was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and an esteemed member of the welding community.
A.C. dedicated his life to his family and his craft as a welder, a career that took him around the globe. His work not only exemplified skill and precision but also a deep passion for creating and building. A.C.'s legacy lives on in the structures he helped to create and in the lives he touched throughout his travels.
Preceded in death by his mother, Conception Villa Fuentes; father, Ramon Fuentes; and brothers Benancio Fuentes and Marcos Fuentes, A.C. leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory. He is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Fuentes, and his children: Dillin Miles and wife Kristin, Kelli Fuentes and boyfriend Garret Saxton, Ryan Fuentes, Kaitlyn Fuentes and boyfriend Derrek Bennett, and Jessica Fuentes and boyfriend Fernando (Fern) Gomez, step children Paizley Longino and Shelby Ramirez and boyfriend Kelly Nelson, and grandchildren Braylin Miles, Jaxton Fuentes, Caenin Miles, Lorenzo Gomez, Kaegan Longino, Sage Longino, Landry Longino and Blaine Longino. He is also remembered by his brothers Ramon Fuentes and wife Kathy, Raymundo (Ray) Fuentes, and Martin Fuentes and wife Rayanne, his sister Minia (Minnie) Renee Fuentes, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts.
A.C.'s life was a testament to the bonds of family and the value of hard work. His warm smile and generous spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He was a man of great integrity and kindness, traits that will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and Rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home located at 110 American Legion Road in Smithville, Texas.
The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The church is located at 203 Mills Street in Smithville, Texas.
