Carolyn Jean Colosky went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen D. Colosky, her mother Thelma Louise Ingels, and her 4 children: Daughter Cydnie Meuth and her husband George, son Michael Colosky and wife Beverly, son David Colosky and wife Jacelin, and son Danny Colosky and wife Betsy.
She had 11 grandchildren:
Chase Frost, Brent Mathis, Cristen Meuth, Trevor Meuth, Stephen ‘Scooter’ Colosky, Anna Marie Goertz, Jake Colosky, Zachary Colosky, Zoe Colosky, Gretchin Colosky, Dax Colosky, and 25 great grandchildren.
She was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on June 14, 1943 to Sydney and Louise Ingels. She graduated from Westlake High School in 1961, went to McNeese State on a pharmacology scholarship and married Stephen in 1965. She was a longtime resident of Moss Bluff, Ragley and Westlake, Louisiana. She worked as a manager at the IRS and later as a medical transcriptionist.
Carolyn enjoyed large family gatherings, sewing and quilting, going to Church and eating Popeye’s fried chicken. She was an incredible cook; a talented seamstress, crafter and painter; and loving mother and grandmother.
She had a contagious smile, infectious laugh, and a faith that moved mountains. She always had room at her table, an ear for the troubled and an open heart willing to support those she loved.
We will miss her love, guidance, and spiritual wisdom as well as her gumbo, chicken and dumplins, cinnamon pickles, stuffing, bread pudding, sheet cake, carne guisada, etc.
