Deacon Henry Felix Vinklarek, Jr. was called home by our Lord and Savior on Monday, June 24, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Vinklarek, Sr. and Lilian Valek Vinklarek.
He is survived by his beloved wife Alicia Melancon Vinklarek and stepsons Coby Savona, Jr. and Travis Cole (spouse Lauren), brother Steve Vinklarek (spouse Debbie), sister Cynthia Vinklarek Dickson (spouse Greg), brother-in-law Raymond Melancon (spouse Sandra), and many dearly loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Henry graduated from Texas A&M in College Station with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church on January 14, 2017. Deacon Henry served at St. Ignatius of Loyola in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and Church of the Holy Comforter in Charlottesville, Virginia (Richmond Diocese).
Henry loved and lived for his family and extended family. He also enjoyed playing golf, riding in the MS150, watching football and rooting for his Texas A&M Aggies and Houston Astros.
Vigil will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 5- 8 pm. Funeral Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11 am. Both services will be held at St. Ignatius of Loyola, 7810 Cypresswood Dr. Spring, Texas, 77379.
Interment will be at 10 am Saturday, July 6,2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery, 465 SH-95 Smithville, Texas, 78957
