Donny Schubert

Donny Bryson Schubert, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021.

He was born on November 13, 1944 in Bastrop, TX. Donny was a country boy at heart and will continue to be in Heaven with the Father. Donny started working for the MKT Railroad in 1962 at the age of 18. He retired in 2005 after 42 years and 3 months. Donny was a hard worker. He enjoyed being around his family, listening to old country music, being outdoors shooting his guns and hunting, and taking walks and car rides with his little dog, Pepie. Donny loved his family dearly, and will be missed by many.

Donny is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Ann Schubert; his daughter, Shannon Gail Schubert; his parents, Landy Huel Schubert and Nella Mae Schubert; his brothers Billy Huel Schubert, Charles Ray Schubert, and Sammy Edward Schubert; and his granddaughter, Avery Ann Schubert.

Donny is survived by his three children, James Lee Schubert (Becky) of Rosanky, TX, Gwendolyn Kay Switzer of Belton, TX, and Steven Ray Schubert (Angela) of Rosanky, TX; his four grandchildren, Makensie Taylor Barta (Jacob) of La Grange, TX, Tanner Bryson Schubert of Rosanky, TX, Kaulin Ray Schubert of Rosanky, TX, and Savannah Gail Switzer of
Belton, TX; and his brother, Johnny Michael (Mike) Schubert of Port Lavaca, TX.
