It is with great sadness that the family of Garlon Lee Weatherford announces his passing. On Wednesday evening, August 14th he tragically lost his life. Our Lord and God embraced him and carried him to his eternal life that evening.
Garlon Lee Weatherford was born August 20th, 1955. He was known to many as Lee Weatherford and lived the past 10 years in Dale, Texas outside of Lockhart Texas.
He was born in Brooks county Hospital in Falfurrias Hospital. He prided himself as a country boy from Premont Texas, yet he spent so much of his younger life traveling the world as a son of an Air force fighter Pilot. He spent his high School years in Germany where his father was stationed at Ramstein Air Force base and graduated from Kaiserslautern High School in 1974. He was a great athlete and an avid hunter. He took so much Pride in this great country he lived in -THE USA- and it showed in every aspect of his life.
He loved more than anything in his life his wife, Kathy Weatherford, his daughter, Jessica Cleghorn, his son-in-law Rustin Cleghorn and his New Grandson, Westin Lee Cleghorn. He could not stop showing his pride and love for his new family through the marriage of his daughter Jessica to Rustin Cleghorn. Then there are his “Brothers for life” David Travis, Roger Travis, Philip Travis and Clint Travis. He was a man who thought great friends had to be considered family.
He is survived by so many. R.L. Weatherford, Father; Maxine Weatherford, Mother; Sherri Weatherford-Deen, Sister; Thomas Deen, Brother-in-law; Susie Weatherford-Tritch, Sister; Megan Tritch, niece; his Aunts, Nelda Linsk and Betty Sue Ferguson and her husband Doug Ferguson; cousins, Jason Crain, Jon Crain, Susan Bockholt, and their families; Donald Hoffman and his extensive family; Jimmie Ruth Arceneaux, and her family. He is also survived by his wife’s family, Doris Reeder, mother-in-law; Debbie Brown, sister-in-law and Mickey Brown, brother-in-law. As well as, numerous friends and associates that he felt were family in this life.
