Glen Whitley

Glen Whitley, 92, of Smithville, passed away January 13, 2017. He was born to Leona Page Schaeffer and Emmett Whitley on February 4, 1924.

He married Helen Whitley October 30, 1971 at the St Paul Lutheran Church of Serbin. Glen worked for the Ford Motor Company and retired after 41 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; brothers, Dorrell and J.D. Whitley; daughter, Becky and her husband Ernest Carter; and grandson, Scott Lyle. Glen is survived by his daughters, Pat Garbade and her husband David, Glenda LaBelle and her husband Glenn; sister, Pat Culps and her husband Vernon along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas.

Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church of Smithville with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas.
