Glenn Wright was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 10, 2024, at the age of 87. He was born on May 11, 1937 and grew up in Natchez MS.
At just 17 years old, Glenn started his career in the oil field, working on a steam rig in Mississippi. He later continued his work in Louisiana with Circle Bar Drilling for many years before eventually moving to Flatonia, Tx to pursue his career in the oilfield. Glenn worked in the oil field for over 60 years and became a well-respected oil field Consultant in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.
His hard work and experience in the oil field led him to establish his own consultant firm, “Glenn Wrights Consultants” based out of Flatonia, TX. Glenn’s reputation in the oil field was impeccable. He was known for his specialized advice and guidance in the oil and gas industry. He worked alone and with his team in the area of exploration, production, reservoir management, drilling, completion, operations and blow out prevention. He implemented best safety practices and always strived to maintain a clean environment.
His resume was extensive and filled with many accomplishments. Glenn was an early member of the “2-mile club” being one of the first oil consultants to drill a horizontal well two miles out. Patterson drilling and other drilling companies trusted Glenn Wright consultant firm for over 35 years. Glenn's Consultant firm assisted CML Exploration LLC in well completion all the way up to his passing at the age of 87.
