Geneva Ann (Tiner) Moree passed away peacefully on August 29, 2020 at Ascension Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle. Geneva Ann Tiner, who’s nickname quickly became Jeannie, was born
to Johnnie L. Tiner and Roberta Meuth Tiner at home in Rosanky, Texas on January 30, 1945. She married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Wayne Moree, in July 1961 at the tender age
of 16.
Jeannie and Dennis went on to have five children; Denise, Janet, Dennis Jr., Keith and Todd.
She was preceded in death by two of her sons, Dennis Jr. and Todd.
For many years, Jeannie worked the oilfields of Texas. In later years, she worked at the 7-11 convenience store in Smithville, where she made many friends and never really met a stranger.
She moved on to Walmart in Bastrop, where she decorated cakes for many special occasions, including bridal showers, baby showers and birthday parties of family and friends. She retired
from Walmart in 2017 after 15 years of faithful service. Most recently, she served as a caregiver and companion to Bryan and thoroughly enjoyed her years working with him.
Jeannie was known as a faithful, Christian woman and was a member of the Young Schoolhouse Bible Church. She was the first to pitch in to serve anyone in need, and could
cook for an army. Her good country cooking will certainly be missed.
Jeannie is survived by her daughter Denise Behrens and husband Ronnie, her daughter Janet Wannamaker and husband James, her son Keith Moree and wife Jeanna; grandchildren Brent and Katrina Otto, Brandon and Britney Schielack, Dustin and Raven Behrens, Chris and Devon Behrens, Kyle and KaLeigh Behrens, Starla Moree, Tiner Moree, Jessica and Carlos Watson, Geoffrey Moree, Trey and Maddie Moree and Michala Moree; plus 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Norlin, Joe and Rex, and her sisters Maudie and Kathy and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at All Faiths of The Pines Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 110 American Legion Road in Smithville, Texas.
