Jerry Lee Rose, Sr. was called home by his Heavenly Father on September 20, 2021. He spent his final days surrounded by his family in Austin, Texas.
Jerry was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 2, 1940. By the time he was 10 years old, his family had relocated to North Houston. After graduating high school, Jerry served in the United States Marine Corps as a radio operator. He was a Texas licensed master plumber who owned and operated JR Plumbing Company for 25 years. Jerry retired with his wife, Neta, to Smithville, Texas in 2010.Jerry and Neta were active members of First United Methodist Church Smithville.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Estal and Nancy Rose, and his brother, Anthony.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Neta Rose; his brother, David Rose and wife Judy; his sister, Debby and husband Tim Giraud; his daughter, Angela McDaniel; sons, Bryan Rose and Jerry Rose; and grandchildren Ava Rose, Brieann Olafsson, Jeremy Rhodes, Katie Rose, Laura Rose, and Zara Rose.
Visitation will be Friday, September 24, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, TX. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, September 25, at 2:00pm at First United Methodist Church in Smithville, TX followed by a graveside service in Oak Hill Cemetery.
