John Hoffman

John Gordon Hoffman passed away December 31, 2017 at the age of 73. He was born June 15, 1944 in Bastrop County, Texas to Viola and Jacob Henry Hoffman.
John was a retired union carpenter with the Carpenters Local 1266. He was one of the original founders of the Bluebonnet Acres Fire Department and served as Chief for A few years. John was also a great mechanic and could fix anything. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Jacob Henry Hoffman; son, John Gordon Hoffman, Jr.; Three sisters and Two brothers.
John is survived by his Wife, Joyce Churchwell; Daughter, Elaine Pugh and her husband Mike; Son, Johny Glenn Hoffman and his wife Tracy; Son, Donald Neil Hollman; Sisters, Pansy Taylor, Edith Lange; Brother-in-Law, Samuel Laws, Jr.; Grandchildren, Shane, Haley, Brianna, Quinton, Rebecca, Melanie and Miranda along with his two Black Labs that were his faithful companions, Harley and Baby Duke.
