Julie Rector

Julie Beran Rector went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2018. Julie was born in Smithville, TX on August 5, 1922 to the late Pete and Mary Beran. Julie was married to the late Jerome Bud Rector on June 25, 1942 and they shared a life of 40 years together.

Julie is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Bud Rector, sons Louie Leon Rector, Silmon Rector and infant son, Franklin Douglas Rector, daughters Cynthia Ann Jones and Doris Arnold, and daughter-in-law Wilma Rector. She is also preceded in death by sisters Tillie Zimmerhanzel and Emma Fendley and brother Charlie Beran.

Julie is survived by her children Lester Bud Rector, Frances Parker & husband Billy, Kathy Lynch and husband Lloyd, and Carole Rightmer and husband Donald.

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Julie Briggs & husband Johnny, Laurie Hancock, Emily Jones, Erin Jones, Janet Reed & husband Carter, Jeremy Rector, Joseph Fajkus, Crystal Roberts & husband Chris, Diamond Lynch, Jamie Parker, Kenneth Rector & wife Julia, Pam Edwards & husband Selby, Harvey Lee Rector & wife Sandra, Teresa Beaman & husband Bob, and Michael Rector.

Also special to her heart were her many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Julie was a stay at home Mom and homemaker all of her life. Her pleasure in life was taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved animals, cooking, listening to music (especially Elvis), dancing, gardening and watching her daily soaps.

The family would like to thank the staff of Towers Nursing Home for all of their care, especially Chris and Libby and also the staff of St. David’s South Medical Center.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14 from 6-9 p.m. at All Faiths of the Pines Funeral Home, Smithville. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 1:30 p.m. at All Faiths of the Pines, Smithville.
