Laura Belle Gartman 97 went to be with the Lord on Monday June 25, 2018 at New Haven Assisted Living in Bastrop, Texas. She was born to David and Sophie Roberts in Whitney, Texas on Oct.18, 1920. She meet and married Doyle Gartman in1938. He preceded her in death in 1985. They settled in Pasadena, Texas where she continued to live until she moved to Smithville Texas in 2002. She was a devoted wife and mother to their two children, Sharon and David. She was active in her church, Sunset Methodist, in Pasadena, Texas and became active at First United Methodist Church when she moved to Smithville to live near her daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Brad Williams. She was a volunteer at Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena for 20 years and also volunteered at Smithville Hospital. She loved traveling, sewing, music, her church and her family.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Williams and husband Brad and son David Gartman and wife Betty. Also survived by four grandchildren; Bryan Williams (wife, Kirby), Gina Burdick (husband, Michael), Gretta Gartman (husband, Brian Ambrette) and Hanna Locker (husband, Adam) along with four great grandchildren; Dylan and Misha Burdick and Bailey and Kennedy Williams.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sunset Methodist Church in Pasadena, Texas
