Linford Milton Bullock, 91, was born to Olive (Downs) and Alfred Bullock at Manter, Kansas on July 2, 1923. He went to his heavenly home on October 10, 2014 in Smithville, TX.

He attended grade and high school at Manter, graduating in 1941. He achieved 2 college degrees, in 1950, a Bachelor of Arts with a math and science major and in 1953 a Master's Degree in Education from Fort Hays College at Hays, Kansas. He also was in the Army Air Force in 1945-46.

Lin and Arleen met while attending college and were married May 31, 1945. They made their home in Logan, Kansas where Lin taught high school math and science from 1950-54. Lin gave up teaching and on Sept 13, 1954 joined Halliburton, an oil well service company as an Electrical Engineer. This job required many moves in Kansas, Texas and Louisiana. After 27 years he retired on Jan 15, 1981 and moved to Lake Thunderbird, TX. Lin and Arleen enjoyed their retirement by traveling the U.S. and Canada, visiting relatives and friends they had made during their life together.

On May 31, 1995, Lin and Arleen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; they had been actively planning their 70th year celebration coming next year.

During the summer of 1999, Lin had a new house built and they moved into Smithville, TX. Lin's hobby was gardening and he joyfully shared his produce with neighbors and friends. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men Club.

Lin is preceded by his parents, Olive and Alfred, his brothers, Milon and Lee, and his sisters, Eulah, Mary and Alice. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Arleen, brothers Kenneth and Gail, 20 nieces and nephews, his Halliburton/Welex friends, and the Methodist Church family.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Smithville with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery, Smithville, TX. The family was in the care of Marrs-Jones Funeral Home, Smithville, TX.
