Lionel Garfield Brammer
June 20, 1942-September 30, 2021
On a summer day in Idaho Falls, Idaho an unforgettable man was born into this world. Little did he know from his humble beginnings that he would later be the center of so many lives. As the patriarch, he would build a family of strong, independent, and passionate children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren from his prime example of honesty, hard-work and perseverance.
On Thursday September 30th, 2021, we lost an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend of many. His life began in a small town of Iona, working and doing what needed to be done on their family farm, he did what he had to. Later after graduating high school, he was drafted into the US Navy. He served his country for three years, two of which were in the Vietnam War as a member of the Construction Battalion. Eventually he made his way to Texas where he met his wife, Linda Brammer. In Spring, Texas he spent his years with his family and enjoyed mentoring, guiding and teaching youth. He was a Scoutmaster, a baseball coach, and a father figure to many. Lionel always found the time for anyone and didn’t stray from helping and even opening his home to many.
Lionel was predeceased by his mother Ruby Agnes Brammer and Father Garfield Henry Brammer. As well as his sister’s June Brammer, Darlene Brammer & Allona Butler.
Lionel is survived by his wife of 38 years Linda Carol Brammer, his son’s Garfield Lionel Brammer and Ron Dale Smith, his daughter’s Brenda Kay Flores and Mable Carol Wilson, his 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
