DOTY, NORMA JEAN
Norma Jean Doty, age 85, of Smithville passed from this life on September 15, 2017. She was born December 7, 1931 in Katy, Texas to Bennie and Viva (Adcock) Stanberry.

Norma Jean was an accomplished singer and was the organist at First Baptist Church in Smithville for many years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband James Andrew Doty; 2 sons, James Keith Doty and Gordon Doty; as well as a grandson, James Keith Doty, Jr.

Norma Jean is survived by: her son Jarrell Doty and wife Earline; grandchildren, Kevin Doty, Michelle Doty, Heather Sabrasula, Ashley Allen, Mitchell Doty, Melissa Henderson, and Nicole Supak; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother Buddy Stanberry and wife Doris; as well as a numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm September 19, 2017 at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville. A Celebration of Life will be 10:00am Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Smithville with Rev. Mike Murphy and Rev. Ronnie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville.
