Norma Haschke "Mitzie"

Norma Haschke “Mitzie”, passed away January 9, 2025 at the age of 71. She was born in San Antonio to Fannie Mae and Louie Ladewig.

Mitzie was a beautiful person with a big heart. She was very strong minded, if she wanted it she work out how to get it. She loved to shop and loved to be well dressed while shopping. Cruising was a big part of Mitzie’s life. She also loved trips to Matagorda, fishing and dancing. She loved,cherished and helped raise her 6 grandsons. She would tell them often, I love you to the moon and back. 

Mitzie lived her life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie and Louie Ladewig, a baby brother, Roger Ladewig and recently on December 28, 2024 her husband, Steve Haschke.

Mitzie is survived by her sisters, Ginger Bennett, Bettie Croisant and her husband Joe, Dorothy Brame, Billie Northcutt and her husband Bobby; brother, Bubba Ladewig; step-children, Phillip Haschke, Scott Haschke, April Wiggins and her husband Shane; 6 grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Pallbearers will be: Jeff Northcutt, Shawn Hernandez, Gary Coppin, Phillip Haschke, Scott Haschke and Jay Shaw.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Tony, Craig, Tom, Chris, Glen and Shane.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas.

The visitation will begin at 12:00pm and the service will begin at 1:00pm with burial following at the Winchester City Cemetery. 

 In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: St. Judes or the Shriners.
