Robert Lester Gregg Sr. 72 of Smithville,Texas passed away surrounded by his family on June 9, 2024 at 6:31 am, after a long battle with lung and heart issues.
Robert was born on May 20, 1952 in Baytown,Texas. On June 12,1970 Robert married the love of his life, Mary Helen Strickland. They had three beautiful children, Evelyn,Jimmy and Robert.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all.
His love, compassion and humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Jewell Gregg, his sister Susan Stahura, his grandson Keith Allen Pease and his great grandson Keith Wayne Gregg.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary Gregg, his daughter Evelyn Pease, his two sons James Robert Gregg and Robert Lester Gregg II, 10 grand children, 11 great grandchildren, his brother Jimmy Fuson and his two sisters Carrie Beggs and Kathy Parks
Visitation will be at 1:00pm and the funeral service will begin at 2:00pm on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral home is located at 110 American Legion Road in Smithville, Texas.
