July 31st 1924  ~  October 15, 2020

We will always remember you for your beautiful soul, big smile, and warm strong hugs.

Ruby was born in McAdoo, Texas. Her parents, John and Ethel Callihan, were cotton and hog farmers. She was one of seven children – 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Ruby grew up in the high plains of West Texas and enjoyed playing basketball in high school. She met and went to high school with her husband Lawrence Pipkin. They married on Thursday, June 25th, 1942. They had three children – Clawson, Jean, and Larry.

She was very active in the First Baptist Church in Smithville where she taught Sunday School and Bible Study for many years and was Nursery Department Director for 13 years. Her cakes always brought top dollar at the church auctions. Ruby had a deep faith and love for our Lord & Savior Jesus! Her Hobbies Were: • Quilting • Sewing • Cooking with love • Watching Sports & Game Shows • Hallmark Movies • Playing dominos and card games with the 88 girls.

She leaves a big hole in the lives and hearts of many and will be deeply missed. We love you forever!  May you rest in peace.
