Thelma Louise Ingels "Grandma Louise"

Thelma Louise Ingels “Grandma Louise” passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022 at the age of 98. She was born on July 21, 1924 to Claude and Meda Reynolds in Payne County, Oklahoma.

She married her lifetime love, Sidney Lemuel Ingels, Jr. on December 24, 1942. They were blessed with three children Carolyn, Sonny, and Kenny. When the children were grown and having families of their own, Grandpa Sid and Grandma Louise bought a farm in Ragley, Louisiana and lived many happy years there. Eventually, life brought them to Texas. Grandma Louise Moved to Bastrop County when Grandpa Sid passed in 2008. She spent the last few years at Lost Pines Nursing Center where she was loved by many special people.

Grandma Louise could sew, knit, crochet, and embroidery. She enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with friends and family. She could make the most delicious desserts and we all loved helping her make homemade donuts.

Above all, she loved her family with all her heart. We are all blessed to have had this special woman in our lives and our world for so many years. She never missed the opportunity to let us know how very much we were loved by her.

She is survived by her son in law Stephen D. Colosky, her grandchildren Cydnie (George Meuth), Michael Colosky (Beverly), David Colosky (Jacelin), Danny Colosky (Betsy), Tammy Bunt (David), Carrie King (Rodney), Rex Ingels, Woody Ingels, Bridget Duhon and family, 17 Great-Grandchildren, 29 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sidney Lemuel Ingels Jr., her daughter Carolyn Jean Colosky, her sons Sidney Lemuel Ingels III, Kenneth mark Ingels, and her parents Claude and Meda Reynolds.

Family and friends will gather from 9:00am to 10:00am and the service will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home.

The funeral home is located at 110 American Legion Road in Smithville, Texas.
