Virginia Cook

Virginia Lanell Cook, 78, went to be with our Lord and Savior March 2, 2019 at 10:53 a.m.  Lanell was born in Brady, Texas January 8, 1941, to Frank and Ora Mae Flanagin.  Prior to her passing, Lanell had been residing at Shady Oaks Rehabilitation Center in Moulton, Texas.

Lanell spent most of her life in Brady, Texas where she worked as a Land Abstractor until her retirement.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing golf, and was an avid music lover.  Lanell was also a member of the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ.

Lanell was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Wayne Flanagin, and sister, Norma Gene Holloway, both of Brady, Texas.

Lanell is survived by her brother, James Flanagin of Plano, Texas; two sons, Stephen and Russell Cook, both of Bastrop, Texas, and one daughter, Lisa Lynn Owens of Smithville, Texas.  Lanell was also blessed with eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Sunset Ridge Church of Christ in Brady, Texas.
